The longest total eclipse of the sun yesterday caused a lot of excitement everywhere. Jerry and Ella happened to be in Hangzhou which was the best place to witness the total eclipse. For this historical moment, even Jerry who seldom take pictures would take up his camera to capture the sight, claiming that it was just like [the end of the world].
Both Jerry and Ella were thrilled and felt very lucky to be able to see the total eclipse first-hand. In fact, they started to anticipate the eclipse since seven in the morning just so that they won't missed it. Around nine o'clock, they saw the sun slowly disappeared, the sky completely darkened and the streetlights started to come on. Jerry was originally worried that it might rain and would not be able to see the eclipse. He was quite shaken by it and said that it was a strange sight, as if the end of the world was approaching.
Ella also said that the sight was really spectacular and worthwhile. She immediately called Taiwan to share the experience with her mother. However, when she started to scream in excitement, she ended up scaring her mother who thought that Ella was in trouble.
