The Taiwanese singer was said to have already decided on the venue of her wedding banquet.

Previously, S.H.E member Ella Chen announced that she will hold her wedding with her Malaysian boyfriend Alvin Lai on May 5.

And it seems that the preparations are already underway for the soon-to-be bride.

According to media reports, a traditional Chinese wedding ceremony is tentatively scheduled to be held at her hometown in Pingtung, Taiwan on Apr 15.

"It'll be held in Pingtung because my parents have many friends and relatives there, who'd like to give us their blessings," Ella said.

When asked about details of her wedding banquet, Ella said that she had not thought much about it, but only hoped for a simple wedding.

Yet, it was recently rumoured that the singer had already decided on the hotel for her wedding and will be holding a 40-table banquets.

The singer, however, revealed her love for long wedding dress.

"I want to try all of the wedding gowns. The style doesn't really matter," she said.

Ella also added that she prefers traditional classic gold rings compared to a diamond ring.

It is speculated that Ella will need more than 10 gowns, given that her wedding will be divided into three parts -- engagement, wedding banquet in Taiwan and weddings in Malaysia.

Waaaaaaa!!! After all the rumors, she finally confirmed it herself! Ella is getting married! This year! She's tying the knot on May 5! I'm genuinely very happy for her! I'm glad to know that she'll spend the rest of her life with her true love. I hope Alvin does keep his promise of loving and cherishing Ella. And so far, I know he is making her happy because Ella looks so blooming! She looks truly in love!

I'm sure that the of them are very relived to officially confirm that they are in a relationship. No more guessing, they are the real deal.

I know that a lot of fellow CE fans are heartbroken by this news. I've been ready a long time ago for this news. The first time news about Ella and Alvin surfaced, I have prepared myself already. Though CE will always have the best chemistry on and off camera. I have spent a lot of my time rooting for them and I don't regret it because I have met (and lost a few) friends along the way. Hopefully, if there is a next life C&E will end up together. But now, I am happy that Ella has found her true love! :)

TAIPEI: Taiwan pop trio S.H.E.'s Ella Chen announced over her micro blog on Thursday that she will marry her Malaysian boyfriend Alvin Lai this year.

"Holding hands, treasuring the present, I am very happy! Yes, I ... am finally getting married.

"The marriage rumours have been around for some time, I am very thankful for everyone's concern. Here, I'd like to announce and share the good news," gushed Chen in a post on her micro blog.

"This year, I am really getting married. I hope everyone will meet their true love, then treasure and cherish one another."

She accompanied her post with a photo of her and Lai, with a sign saying "good marriage fortune" in the background.

In response to her post, Lai said on his micro blog that he is "very lucky" and vowed to cherish Chen, love her and "give her eternal happiness".

"Yes! You have found happiness and I am really happy," said Tien.

Hunan Broadcasting System aired a Lunar New Year special the night before, where Vic and Ella appeared as guests. The topics covered include about their recent on-goings, as well as the pair's love life.

Ella, who is currently in love and looking more feminine recently, commented on her recent changes, "I don't know why I tend to look boyish when I have short hair. There was a time when I wasn't working and my hair grew. I was suddenly oozing feminineness."

While the three members of S.H.E are currently pursuing their solo careers at the moment, Ella revealed that they have plans to reunite this year.

The singer let on that band mate Selina Jen's health is improving, although she would still feel blue at times and her emotions are not stable yet.

Ella was also asked about her wedding plans, now that Selina is married. She attempted to evade the question, but after must pressurising from the host, Ella admitted that her big day is drawing near.

S.H.E member Ella Chen is not only a singer, but an actress, who recently made a foray into movies apart from idol drama series. Her successful singing and acting career together with her presence in one of Taiwan's most popular girl group helped her bag a number of endorsements.

A few days ago, the singer and her mother shot a commercial for calcium tablets and reportedly received a million dollar paycheck for it.

When Ella and her mother arrived on set that day, they began to play with the dog, which joined them for the shoot.

The 30-year-old singer threw the Frisbee, jumped over hurdles and pointed at the dog, saying, "Mum and I exercise regularly, we're not afraid of you."

Despite it being her mother's first on-screen experience, Ella's mum showed no fear and was a natural on TV. On the other hand, it was the dog that kept getting bad takes, causing Ella to run out of breath.

During the shoot, the director even praised Ella's mother for her performance and even threw in a last-minute scene which required the singer to carry her mother and turn three rounds.

S.H.E member Selina Jen returned to work recently, after she was badly scarred in an on-set accident two years ago.

Last week, the starlet joined her fellow members Hebe Tien and Ella Chen in a photo shoot for a shoe brand.

Yesterday, the trio reunited again, for the spring/summer collection of a women's clothing brand, which they had endorsed for the last five years.

As Selina was unable to stand for long hours, the photo shoot was completed within five hours.

On the day of the shoot, Selina had two costume changes. When she wore had to wear short skirts, the singer wore an extra pair of leggings to hide the scars on her legs.

The production crew also called for short three-minute breaks during the shoot, so that it would not be so taxing on Selina.

Selina, who had not done a photo shoot in a long time, appeared delighted during the shoot and would chat happily with Hebe and Ella. The trio was also spotted heading towards the restroom hand-in-hand.

Commenting on Selina's performance, Ella praised her friend for still having what it takes.

"Her smile still sparkles, when she's in front of the camera," she said.

The trio's manager also let on, "Everyone knew she was injured, so it was all right to reveal her pressure suit [during the shoot]."

Taiwanese record label HIM International -- which manages girl group S.H.E and boy band Fahrenheit -- recently held their annual dinner.

Upon arrival, S.H.E member Selina Jen quipped, "It's like attending a wedding banquet," after seeing her colleagues dressed in evening gowns and tuxedos.

That night, the artistes from HIM International pooled in a total of NT$2 million (S$86,000) for the lucky draw cash prizes.

When the host of the event asked the audience to help raise the amount, he specially mentioned Hebe Tien. She was recently ranked third in the 'Top Female Celebrity Earners under 30 years old' list.

"I heard that there's a young female millionaire here today. Where is she?" he asked.

The starlet and artistes from the same company pooled in S$86,000 as lucky draw prizes for the staff members

Record label HIM International held a 20-table annual dinner at a renowned hotel on Jan 10 which was attended by the company's artistes, including S.H.E, Fahrenheit member Jiro Wang and Mike He.

Last year, HIM International threw a low-profile party because Selina sustained burn injuries in an on-set accident and was then on the road to recovery. Most of the money collected was also donated to the Sunshine Foundation to help burn patients.

This year, with Selina's condition stabilising and picking up, HIM International forked out a generous amount of NT$800,000 (S$34,400) to throw a lavish company dinner; the dishes reportedly cost up to NT$25,000 (S$1,000) per table.

The banquet also included a lucky draw segment and the first round of games called the 'started round', saw everyone going home with something that night and 70 lucky staff walked away with a total amount of NT$3 million (S$130,000) cash.

The artistes from HIM International pooled in NT$2 million (S$86,000), while the company's executives took out NT$1 million (S$40,000).

The boss of the company then announced that staff members would receive a four to five-month annual bonus this year.

Furthermore, HIM International will also organise a company trip for its staff, with all expenses paid by the record label.

When local singer JJ Lin released his latest album Lost N found, it was vaguely revealed that his record label forbade the singer from pursuing matters of the heart.

However, at the party celebrating his album's good sales performance, JJ openly expressed, "I hope I can be No. 1 in whatever I do, and I hope someone can introduce me a No. 1 girlfriend too."

The singer specially mentioned S.H.E. member Hebe Tien, saying that he wanted to invite her as a guest singer for his upcoming concert.

He added, "She is my type, but I may not be the type of guy she likes."

Looking slightly embarrassed, JJ revealed that his record label tried to invite Hebe once. However, the pair missed out on the chance to work together, due to scheduling conflicts.

Commenting on Hebe's recent declaration that she "wants to date", JJ laughingly requested for good friend Ella Chen to help him out.

"Please put in some good words for me in front of Hebe," he said.

JJ added that he is in contact with Selina and Ella, but does not have Hebe's phone number.

The singer performs at a countdown concert in beau’s home country of Malaysia

In recent reports, S.H.E. member Ella Chen had chosen to perform at a countdown concert in Malaysia so that she could spend the holidays with boyfriend Alvin Lai.

Juggling work obligations and relationship, the singer had chosen to perform in Malaysia because it was her beau's home country.

However, this move had stirred unhappiness amongst the public, with some accusing her of making use of her job to satisfy her selfish ends.

Ella and her beau flew to Kuala Lumpur on December 30, where the latter had brought Ella around to tour the city, looking very much like a couple on honeymoon.

Nourished by her beau's love, Ella expressed happily during an interview in Malaysia that because of the warm local weather, she felt great and was anticipating the countdown concert.

While performing on stage yesterday, boyfriend Alvin was also spotted in the audience listening attentively to Ella's performance.

It was said that Ella would be holidaying in Malaysia for a few days.

The Taiwanese singer raised S$4,700 for burn patients

Taiwanese singer Selina Jen released her new album Dream Another Dream on Dec 16.

A week before its release, Selina arranged for 50 copies of her albums to be autographed by her and put up for an online auction, with hopes of raising money for burn patients at the Sunshine Foundation.

On the day of the auction, the highest offer was NT$5,200 (S$200). All the albums later raised a total of NT$111,830 (S$4,700).

A few days ago, when Selina returned to Chang Gung Memorial Hospital for a checkup, she realised that many doctors and nurses had bought her album and distributed them to the patients, to motivate them.

"Maybe I can hold an autograph session at the hospital," the singer said happily. At the same time, she hoped that the patients will not give up hope.

Selina's album has been selling well, both online and at the record stores. Yesterday, her record company celebrated Christmas early by preparing turkey and a Christmas tree. Selina also personally gave her dog Pinky a makeover.

Two nights ago, the singer enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere, while shopping at Xinyi district in Taipei. Selina let on that although the budget for S.H.E's annual Christmas present exchange is at NT$500 (S$23), but she spent NT$506.

"I'll be exchanging presents with Ella and Hebe this Christmas. We must take the chance to celebrate Christmas together this year," she added excitedly.

On the first night, Ella was a special guest and performed "Wo Jiu Shi Wo" (Ella's boyfriend, Alvin, was seen at the concert and so we assume that they came together. They sat far away from each other though). Selina also appeared via a VCR.

On the 2nd night Selina was at the concert! :D Along with Ah Diong and Ren Pa (not sure if Ren Ma was there). Selina cried when Hebe said "I love you."

Ella Chen reveals how she fell in love with boyfriend

It appears that S.H.E member Ella Chen may be next in line for marriage.

Earlier in July, it was rumoured that the singer will be marrying her Malaysian boyfriend Alvin Ng next March.

Yesterday, while promoting her new movie Perfect Two 2012 with actors Vic Chou and Xiao Xiao Bin on talk show Here Comes Kang Xi, Ella opened up on her relationship with Alvin, after much demand from host Dee Hsu.

Dee's partner Kevin Tsai then reminded Dee that Ella had specifically requested them not to ask her any questions related to her relationship before the recording.

Since she could not make Ella confirmed if the latter was going to marry next March, Dee asked the singer how she and her boyfriend met instead.

"We knew each other for four years, but dated a year only. It happened after he accidentally touched my leg at a gathering with friends," Ella said.

When the hosts asked Ella what took them so long to fall in love with each other, she admitted, "We didn't have feelings for each other in the first three years. We were watching DVDs together at a friend's gathering, when he touched my leg and complimented me on my thin legs. I shivered, when his finger touched. The next day, I asked him out to visit children at a pediatric hospital."

The singer also shyly added that the couple is still in their honeymoon period.

"He knows it's my job. He accepts it, even though he may not tolerate it. He will choose not to watch," Ella replied when asked if her boyfriend minded the intimate scenes she had to film.

In other related news, Dee and Kevin hosted the recording yesterday, although Dee's elder sister Barbie Hsu was engaged to take over Dee's place, to ensure that the latter has sufficient rest for her pregnancy.

However, as Barbie once said that she will not interview any of her former flames, i.e. Vic Chou, Dee had to take over the reins.

During the recording, child actor Xiao Xiao Bin let on that Ella was jealous of him, because he had worked with all but one F4 member (he had acted with Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu and Vic Chou).

However, the young star shocked everyone when he said, "It's best if I don't act with that person (Ken Zhu)."

Responding to Xiao Xiao Bin's reply, Ken commented via his manager, "We're not taking this to heart, because he's still a child. Please tell Xiao Bin Bin to take care of his son."

I'm not surprised to know that Ella and Alvin are really together. In fact, I'm glad that Ella finally confirmed their relationship in a way. I'm genuinely happy for Baobei. Although for years I have been wishing that she is with someone else, that doesn't matter anymore. I've already accepted the fact that what I want for her isn't necessarily what's best for Baobei. The most important thing is Ella's happiness :) I support her decision fully. I wish you happiness, my Baobei!

Another thing, I think the way they started their relationship is pretty funny XD Not the most romantic thing but it's okay. I guess sometimes it only takes just one touch to realize something. I hope Alvin doesn't break Ella's heart. Ella deserves to be happy, to be loved. Please take care of her or else! A massive amount of S.H.E/Ella fans will surely attack you!

Good news! Selina’s first EP will be released on the 16th of December, on the day of Selina and Richard's second banquet. The 3 songs included in the EP are composed by JJ Lin, Wang Leehom and Jay Chou respectively.
